Top 5 things not to say during a job interview

Imagine walking into an interview room, looking and feeling good. Ready to give them your all then you lose your words and confidence. It's not every day that we have the opportunity to have someone of such knowledge educate us on new things, because just like you I get interviewed and have to speak to the boss like I've already taken over the room.

Sometimes going in the spaces gives us anxiety and drains everything.  Mr. Don is here to give us what not to do during an interview, to make you stand out and more likely to be successful.

Don Georgevich is an author and speaker on job interviewing, hiring, and
leadership development. He specializes in teaching businesses how to make informed hiring decisions and helps job seekers to sharpen their interviewing skills.

The well-respected former corporate interviewer has written The Seven Master Steps to Hiring a Players, The Complete Interview Answer Guide, Resume Masterpiece, and How to Write Perfect Thank You Letters.  He shares his interviewing and hiring advice in countless YouTube videos.

There are many job seekers and several number of opportunities for everyone. Taking extra steps to do research and make yourself knowledgeable about your future workplace is highly important, but never mind me let's get into these facts:

1. NEVER TALK BAD ABOUT A PREVIOUS COMPANY OR ANYCOMPANY YOU HAVE EVER WORKED FOR.

This gives them the mindset that you will eventually find something to dislike the job and leave them high and dry.

2. DONT BE DESPERATE

Don't go in telling them that you will do "anything " know exactly what you want and how you want it done.

3. DONT TELL THEM BLAND THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF

Give them a reason to want you tell them what, how, and why you did what you did in a work situation. Give details to what you can bring to them.

4. DONT SAY I DONT KNOW HOW

Try!! You must explain to them that even though you don't know how, you are willing to try.

5. DONT ASK WHAT THE COMPANY DOES

Research!!! You have to know the place in order for you to bring value, if they see no value, you will not get the job. sell yourself.

GIVING BACK TO THOSE WHO GAVE TO US

One man and his lustrous sculpting of clay

gave SC State a meaningful gift last Tuesday

morning. Celebrating black history month with a meaningful beginning.

Tolulope Filani has been anticipating the day he gets to reveal

three sculptures he has been working on since 2014.

Tolu Filani was born and raised in Nigeria. In 1968 he won first prize in the UNESCO-organized international children's art competition. while in high school he produced art so well that his principal hired a teacher and Dr. Filani ended up on television for ten years. He attended Yabba College of Technology earning his OND and HND with a major in sculpting.

In the year 1981, he won his first major commission and by 1968 he secured a USAID Sponsorship that allowed his to study at the University of Missouri in Columbia where he earned a master's degree.

He eventually returned to Nigeria only to relocate to the USA permanently.
In 2003 he obtained his Ph.D. in art which allowed him to take place as the chair of the Department of Art at South Carolina State.

After all his travels Dr. Filani started at South Carolina State University in 2006. He started sculpting the three men back in 2014 after he walked around the state and there was no art. No history about the school that makes them significant. " it's worthless if you complain and don't contribute anything.

So, he did something that we all will remember even after we have graduated, as astatic as you might think Dr. Filani was he was quite humble really. It's like he gave the community of Orangeburg life he brought back the realization that we have overcome so much, and we still have a long way to go " To be honest it's not about me I just see myself as a tool to project the attributions to the Individuals who gave us the space today." said Filani, and I agree because with the creativity of others and the compassion, we as people can make things greater than what they already are.

Every day is a new day to be in the now, to understand history and society "Young or old

whatever you contribute to society will eventually be celebrated."- Dr. Filani

Different Leads Same Story

Cardi B wins $4 million YouTube defamation case. But her victory is about more than money.

Anecdote: Every day people are bullied into suicide by false rumors, but Cardi B did not let her feelings get in the way of a YouTuber using her platform to slander her name for years.

Hard lead: A Day after a jury ordered YouTuber Tasha K to pay more than $1 million for defaming Cardi B by posting false rumors, the jurors tacked on $1.5 million more in punitive damages on Tuesday (Jan. 25) and ordered the blogger to repay the star’s $1.3 million legal bill.

Descriptive: Rapper Cardi B won big in court this week. She was awarded over $4 million, including $1.3 million to cover legal fees, in her landmark libel lawsuit against the YouTuber Tasha K and her company Kebe Studios LLC for making false claims about her sexual health, drug use, marriage, and the well-being of her child

Quotation: " False information might get you caught up, but this YouTuber didn't know it would have her in dept"

Question: Has anyone tarnished your name before by spreading rumors about you?

Suspenseful: A federal jury sided with rapper Cardi B in her defamation lawsuit against YouTuber Latasha Kebe on Monday, saying that Kebe must pay the Bronx native at least $1.25 million

Ironic: Winning Grammy's and winning lawsuits cardi just does not lose.

Direct: One day you writing music the next your name is being slandered all over social media.

Words used in useful ways: Come with facts or stay seated.

Shocker: Social media influencers better watch out and tell the right information or they could be getting sued for millions.
